The updated Seat Ibiza appeared before the public at the Geneva Motor Show in early 2012. This is a restyled version of the fourth generation, which entered the market in 2008.

Compared to its predecessor, the novelty received a new bumper, grille and head optics with LED running lights. As for the interior, the 2012 Ibiza got a new steering wheel, changed the air conditioning control unit and added new color schemes for seat upholstery and door cards.

In the line of power units there are 2 atmospheric and 2 turbocharged gasoline engines. The first, marked MPI, with a volume of 1.4 and 1.6 liters, develop 85 and 105 hp. respectively. Similar power - 105 hp. - has a junior turbo engine - 1.2 TSI, and the power of the Seat Ibiza with a top-end 1.4 TSI engine is 150 hp.

The new Seat Ibiza is equipped with two gearboxes. For the younger naturally aspirated engine, only a five-speed manual gearbox is offered, and in addition to the 1.4 TSI, only a seven-speed DSG gearbox is offered.

At the same time, buyers of cars with one of two 105-horsepower powertrains can choose between mechanics and DSG. Already in the most budget version, the new Seat Ibiza can please its owner with air conditioning, two airbags, ABS, as well as such pleasant little things as, for example, a headlight washer, a 12V socket, heated front seats and windshield washer nozzles. In the top configuration, the Seat Ibiza is equipped with 4 airbags, electronic stability control and rear disc brakes. But standard alarm, bi-xenon optics, iPod connection cable, Bluetooth, parking radar, sunroof and other electrical equipment are available only as options.
